Interdisciplinary team is a group of people from various disciplines who are able and willing to collaborate to achieve established goal. Interdisciplinarity should play a key role in the health care system. The first step in team building is to determine the key rules. The principles of professionalism, defined goal and good coordination must be upheld. The application of mentioned rules leads to a fair evaluation of the benefits and true effects of new activity. Interdisciplinary teams is a cornerstone of palliative care. For patients and their families it leads to improved quality of life and better quality of care. For staff such work is connected with improved motivation and job satisfaction.
